Field is a travel logging app. These terms explain how you can use it and what we expect from you. By using Field, you agree to these terms.
What Field is
Field lets you log places you've visited, organize them into trips, upload photos, and share your travels with others. You can keep your data private or make it public.
Your account
- You need an account to use Field. Sign in with Google, GitHub, or Apple.
- You're responsible for keeping your account secure.
- One account per person. Don't share accounts or create multiple accounts.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Field.
Your content
You own everything you post on Field — your trips, visits, photos, and profile information. We don't claim any ownership of your content.
By posting content publicly, you give us permission to display it to other users and in search results. You can change your content to private at any time.
Don't post:
- Content you don't have the right to share
- Illegal content or content that promotes illegal activity
- Harassment, hate speech, or threats
- Spam, malware, or misleading content
- Content that violates others' privacy
Acceptable use
Use Field for its intended purpose: logging and sharing your travels.
Don't:
- Try to access other users' accounts or data
- Attempt to break, overload, or circumvent our security
- Scrape data or use bots without permission
- Use Field for commercial purposes without our consent
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
Account termination
- By you: You can delete your account anytime from Settings. We'll delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
- By us: We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. We'll try to give you notice when possible.
What we provide
Field is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it running smoothly, but we can't guarantee:
- The service will always be available or error-free
- Your data will never be lost (please keep your own backups)
- Any specific features or functionality will remain unchanged
We're a small project. We'll do our best, but we have limits on our liability.
Intellectual property
Field's name, logo, design, and code are our intellectual property. You can't use them without permission. The location data and maps come from third-party sources with their own licenses.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or a notice on Field. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of California.
